HISTORY OF THE UN-SILENT

The history of the core musicians is mind boggling so we'll keep it simple.

Back in late Sixties and early Seventies, (the Un-Silent), George, Tommy and Mark played in different bands together. Based in the then small town of Baytown Texas they were always competing for the same venues which forced these musicians to a higher than average standard of performance. As shone by their repertoire they individually ventured through many styles of music. After nearly thirty years of performances with other groups the guys  gravitated  towards each other through a series of events.

In September of 0 10 Berzerko Brothers (B2) Productions corespondent Mark B. responded to an ad in a local entertainment circular that read,"Pro Dummer looking for Band" and an audition was arranged. We couldn't stump this young-un no matter what we threw at him. Hence the introduction of Danny Patterson to the group. With musical abilities far beyond his years and being the most comprehensive drummer I have seen in years, This was the vital ingrediant, The determining factor in whether or not to move forward with this project.  All of the core members play guitar, bass, keys. But none of the core could be considered a drummer. We are very happy to have Danny on board. The core just got bigger.

November of 0 10 brought the talents of Tom Kendrick to the group. A seasoned musical veteran that has been touring the world for over 10 years. Accomplished in many styles of music, his Country and Classic Rock performance is second to none. As a vocalist and bassist Tommy has played for over 30 years as a frontman and has always adhered to the utmost in professionalism resulting in phenomenal stage presence. Tommy is the main vocalist for the Lee College Jazz Band, "SKYLINE", and a welcome addition to our musical group.

A good band always needs a good keyboardist and that's where core member  George Zamora comes into the picture. With over 40 years experience in all genres of music, George is a classically trained pianist with Jazz and Rock and Roll roots. A perfect combination for the style of music the band performs. It's not enough to just play the songs, but also to hear all of the subtle nuances and be able to reproduce them. That's Georges forte and he enjoys doing it.

In late August of 0 10 Mark Bishop, Founding member of  The Berzerko Brothers, Originator of Lil' Eddie and the Sunsetters and long time lead guitarist for Texas Squeeze, was frustrated and burned out on playing the same 30 year old tired ass beer joint juke.    After 40 years of playing the radio hits it was about time to play some music for the above average listener. Some intellectually stimulating melodies that trigger thoughts of good times and well being . Now it's Mark's turn to present the type of music that people loved for years and never new the names of the songs. " I'm sure you can sing along with 80% of our song list".

Behind the Scenes of the Un-Silent

My name is Mark Bishop and I was born in Houston Texas and moved to Baytown Texas at the age of five years old. All of my relatives are accomplished musicians so I was always around musical insrtuments. I was influenced by a muriad of artist from western swing and blues to classical and jazz.
Music has always been a large part of my life and always will be. I believe that my taste in music is exquisite and my performances are of the highest quality. I strongly believe in professionalism, courtesy and punctuality and these traits are readily appearent in all aspects of my life.

I'm Danny Patterson and I was born in Tennessee and moved to Houston about 15 years ago.
I have been around musicians since birth. I started playing different instruments at four years old and started playing in my fathers band at age nine. I've had a few lessons and attended a few workshops along the way but I'm mostly self taught.
I have been refered to as a multi-Instrumentalist because I play guitar, bass, drums, mandolin, lap steel and more. I have competed in numerous competitions on drums and placed in the top five percent of most of them.I enjoy playing music and entertaining listeners of all music genres.
